wraparound cover; inside covers blank.
The cover is a portfolio of most of the themes in the story. The activity centers around the Guggenheim Museum (not actually in the story), with the toxic waste from New Jersey in the water fountain. The art critic and art dealer futilely attempt to jump up to the ascending Schnabel as he takes Used Band in Space to Heaven. Alkahest Plata, as Power Artist, flies above the chaos as museum guards attempt to restore order. The mysterious clown from the disguise store is included, as well as Keith Haring and van Gogh.

Synopsis
Artist Alkahest Plata fights with art critic Q. Pennyton Winthrop and art dealer Daniel Boone VI over possession of his creation, the sentient sculpture Used Band Aid in Space. Plata is waylaid by his nemesis, Nick Speako, but eventually develops temporary superpowers and stages a failed comeback attempt for possession of the sculpture. By this time, NYC artist Julian Schnabel intervenes and takes the sculpture to heaven for arbitration, where van Gogh makes a brief appearance. The conflict is resolved by Schnabel taking the sculpture to Tibet where it is a subject of meditation for zen monks.
