Numbering possibly continues from Taffy Comics #12, February 1948. Perhaps there was a #13 scheduled for April 1948, but it got cancelled, and then #14 (June 1948) became The Westerner.
This would be the same situation as Wanted #9 (Sept-Oct 1947) following from Toytown #7 (May 1947) with #8 skipped.
